Customer bought a house and may sell/rent. Both bathrooms were dated and needed some tlc and after doing his daughters house, he knew we could handle the job.
The back bath we had to do wall tile, tub and tile floor. Customer chose stonefleck galena on floor and pure white resin on tub and wall tile. We had to remove some grab bars and repair stress cracks on tile.
We use wipe on primer on all repairs and bottoms of tubs, soap dishes. This is an extra but critical step in refinishing porcelin, a adhesion promoter. Then on cracks we apply thin coats to avoid sanding which gives a better result.
After walls are finished, the next day we tape up bottom to prepare for spraying floor. We know our process bites to surface because after one day, you can apply tape to our finish, and tape will not pull the resin off the tile! That is always a good test to see if your paint or resin adhere to surface.
