These bathtubs were unlike any we had seen in all our years of glazing tubs.they had a metal handrail on each side of tub. The two tubs upstairs were colored, yellow and green.two downstairs where white. They all had these rails.
Customer decided the two downstairs we should remove the rails. We had to use a saw-zaw to cut the bolts as turning them didn't do any good. The holes had to have multiple coats of filler and a lot of sanding. Followed by primer to seal the filler. The colored tubs the acid must stay on double the time for white tubs and take a extra primer coat. All drains were removed as were overflow valves which is crucial to the longevity our customers expectations. Its just not a good practice to tape hardware as water can get behind the fixture and at some point, cause issues.
